Reading the Playstyle Radar

July 8, 2026 · 5 min read

Every summoner profile on BestBuilds.LOL has a hexagon-shaped chart called the Playstyle Radar. It’s the fastest way to see how someone plays without scrolling through 100 individual matches. Here’s what each of the six axes actually means and how to read the numbers.

The baseline: 50 = “same as the other 9”

Every axis is scored against the other nine players in the same games. A rating of 50 means you’re average for that lobby. Above 50 means you consistently do more of that thing than the players you’re queued with; below 50 means you do less. That comparison is the whole point — a 7.5 CS/min from a Diamond mid-laner and a 7.5 CS/min from a Bronze mid-laner mean very different things.

The six axes

  • Aggression — kills, assists, kill participation, and damage share. High = you look for fights and land them. Very high with low survival = you die a lot to get them.
  • Vision — wards placed, wards killed, control wards, vision score per minute. This one moves a lot depending on role: supports naturally score higher than mid.
  • Objective — dragons, heralds, barons, turret plates, and damage to structures/objectives. High = you show up for the map, not just the scoreboard.
  • Survival — deaths per game, damage taken vs mitigated, time alive. High = you don’t die. Low doesn’t automatically mean bad — hyper-aggressive champions trade lives for tempo.
  • Farming — CS/min, gold/min, jungle camps for junglers. The single most reliable predictor of solo-queue improvement.
  • Teamplay — assist share, CC score, damage mitigated to allies. High = you enable your team; low with high aggression = you play around yourself, not the group.

Common shapes and what they mean

  • Spike on Aggression + Farming, dip on Survival — classic carry mid/ADC. If your win rate is bad, the fix is usually deaths, not damage.
  • Spike on Vision + Teamplay, dip on Farming — support profile. Perfect. Don’t chase CS as support unless the lane is already dead.
  • Spike on Objective + Vision, flat elsewhere — jungler or roaming mid. You’re playing the map.
  • Flat 50 everywhere — you’re at the level of your lobby. Fine, but nothing to lean into. Look at which axis has the widest gap between “you” and “average” and start there.

The queue selector matters

Ranked Solo, Flex and ARAM produce very different radars. ARAM will push Aggression and Damage up and Vision to the floor — that’s the mode, not you. Compare like-with-like: pick the queue you actually want to improve at.

Using the click-through

Every dot on the radar is clickable. Tap Aggression and you’ll get the full breakdown of what fed into that number — kill participation, damage share, solo kills — so you can see which of the underlying stats is pulling you up or down.
